Three Valencia Players Every Club Should Want

With Juan Mata and David Silva comprehensively destroying the myth that foreign players need time to settle in the Premier League and David Villa helping the best team in the World become even better (until unfortunate injury struck of course), there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that Valencia is a very good place to go shopping.

Adil Rami: Centre back, Estimated Price: €14-20 million, Clubs interested: Barcelona, Manchester United, Internazionale.

When France international, Ligue 1 winner, and extensively scouted Adil Rami moved to Valencia for a mere €6million Euros, managers all around Europe must have been almost literally kicking themselves. To take the Premier League alone, in recent times Manchester United have forked out £20million for an inconsistent Phil Jones, Liverpool £7million for a yet-to-impact Sebastian Coates, Arsenal £8million for an inexperienced Laurent Koscielny, Manchester City paid £22million for a previously unspectacular Joleon Lescott and Chelsea £24 million for an occasionally disastrous David Luiz.

Although Valencia are delighted with the signed and Emery will no doubt be very pleased with the partnership Rami has built with Victor Ruiz, they are a club that likes to make a profit on players, if the rumours of offers in the region of €20million plus are true, Valencia officials may struggle to turn them down, not only to sell at a premium but also due to Rami’s performances in recent games, particularly important ones, being very disappointing.
