In form Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie is not on FC Barcelona‘s agenda, according to Barça Vice President Josep Maria Bartomeu.
The Gunners main man has been in sensational form this season, and with his contract running down rapidly, Barcelona have emerged as front-runners for his signature according to the Spanish press.
However, according to Catalan paper Sport, Bartomeu refutes any interest in the Dutchman, and claims and alleged meeting between the club and RVP’s agent is false.
“There’s nothing. Headlines have been written, but now isn’t the time”.
Bartomeu’s words seem half-hearted, and his lack of conviction is unlikely to convince any Gunners fans to stop worrying any time soon.
This is a story that won’t go away, and looks likely to continue the closer we get to the end of the season.
